The problem is simple: any and all protocols need to be discussed with clients. UPdated 6-11-19 please not that the owners response is what is problematic with this vet. Not just doing what they want to do especially when they have already been advised that I don't want a 1 yr rabies vaccine to be given. Most vets give 3 yr rabies vaccines and if they want to give 1 yr then they need to make the information available to their clients. They do not have the right to make these decisions without discussing with their clients and they were already advised that I don't want a 1 yr vaccine. In 2019 my 16 yr cat was given a 1 yr rabies vaccine without consulting me. I advised them that I wanted my cats to receive a 3 yr vaccine which was subsequently given in 2018. I already had a discussion surrounding our younger cat who was given 1 yr rabies vaccination and they said they like to give 1 yrs because of possible complications. There is simply no reason for a vet to behave this way its very unprofessional.įifth, and final issue. Third, no appt cards again a second time because they were sent out and this meant that one pet was now past due for his rabies shot.įourth, one of their vets was apparently unhappy about the fact that my cat was declawed which was apparent on her face and when I spoke the owner I was told that this vet was anti-declawing. My reply was no "it's a reminder call" This same person scheduled two appts and when I came in for the first appt it wasn't in the calendar and the other one was scheduled on a completely different day. The staff was became defensive and rude and said it was a courtesy call. So I called to find out and said "it's helpful when you call to say who and what is due especially when someone has 5 pets. Second, I was on vacation and my phone crashed so I lost my calendar reminder and had received a message saying I had an appt for a dog or cat and they weren't really sure. This is even more important when they weren't scheduling followup appts so I was totally dependant on their notices to manage my pets vaccinations. I came to this vet because I wanted a clinic that had multiple drs because my last vet didn't and it became a problem when you have a sudden illness and he was unavailable.įirst, issue not receiving any appt cards to let me know what anyone of my 5 animals were due for. This is by far the worse clinic experience I have ever had in my 30 yrs of going to any vet.
